APP / AGENTIC PAYMENTS

Independent Evidence for Agentic Payments.

Establish the authority, actions and outcomes behind AI-initiated financial activity.

AI agents are increasingly interacting with payment providers, digital wallets, commerce platforms and financial systems. A successful payment response does not independently establish the complete chain of agent instruction, delegated authority, transaction execution and resulting outcome. APP provides an evidence layer for examining those separate elements across the participating systems.

The Agentic Payment Evidence Gap

Authorisation, instruction, execution and settlement are separate claims. A valid credential does not prove authority to spend; an authorised instruction does not prove that a provider executed it.

A provider response can support a specific execution claim. Settlement requires its own financial outcome evidence. APP preserves those distinctions, the supporting sources and any gaps between them.

What APP Makes Reviewable

Actor & Principal

The initiating agent, the organisation or person it represents, and the evidence supporting each association.

Delegation & Scope

Authority origin, validity, permitted actions, amount limits and transaction conditions.

Requests & Execution

The observed transaction instruction, provider execution evidence and any differences between them.

Outcomes & Provenance

Available outcome evidence, source attribution, observation context and the limits of what can be independently established.

  2. 02Delegated Authority
  3. 03Payment Request
  4. 04Provider Execution
  5. 05Outcome Evidence
  6. 06Independent Review

These are evidence dimensions, not a claim that every stage has occurred. Payment providers execute payments; local systems enforce policy.

Agentic Payment Scenarios

Autonomous Commerce & Checkout

Examine purchase instructions, spend permissions, observed checkout requests and provider outcomes without conflating them.

Enterprise Payment Automation

Connect a payment-release request to its principal, delegation conditions and local policy assessment.

Wallets, Stablecoins & Digital Assets

Separate wallet identity, signing authority, submission, network execution and finality evidence.

Payment Investigation & Disputes

Reconstruct the evidence available at each decision point and preserve conflicts, missing records and subsequent changes.

Worked Evidence Example

A procurement agent requests a USD 186,400 payment release. Local policy requires verified delegated authority above USD 50,000. The credential is verified, but authority remains unresolved, so the implementing system escalates.

Subsequent evidence verifies a USD 250,000 authority limit. The request becomes available for policy re-evaluation. Execution remains NOT_STARTED; this scenario contains no settlement evidence.

Escalation required

The local assessment is ESCALATE because authority evidence is insufficient. Execution remains NOT_STARTED and no settlement is claimed.

Select a recorded step to inspect its evidence and state at that point. Policy evaluation belongs to the implementing system; new authority evidence does not establish that a payment executed.

Enterprise Evaluation

Start with a defined transaction boundary, a concrete authority question and the evidence available from participating systems. INEVRI works with organisations evaluating independent evidence for agentic financial activity.

APP complements existing payment, identity, policy and financial infrastructure. It does not process payments or substitute evidence evaluation for enforcement.
